Our solo walk service

Bark & Go offers professional solo dog walks in Didsbury and Chorlton. Every walk is one dog with one walker for a full hour, with clear updates and photos after each visit. We do not offer group walks.

Solo walks

Your dog gets 30 or 60 minutes of undivided one-to-one attention on every walk.

Physically & mentally stimulating

We explore local parks and green spaces, vary routes, and keep walks engaging for your dog.

Photos & walk reports

After each walk you receive a report with check-in/out times, a summary, and photos. With your consent, we may also share on social media.

Safe access & return

We follow your entry instructions. On return, paws are cleaned and fresh water is offered where appropriate.

Didsbury & Chorlton

We walk dogs in Didsbury and Chorlton postcodes only, covering South Manchester areas such as West/East Didsbury and Chorlton-cum-Hardy.

Flexible booking

Request walks online by choosing 2-hour time windows (8am–10am, 10am–12pm, 12pm–2pm, 2pm–4pm). We confirm your requests. Payment collected by Direct Debit each Friday for completed walks.

1. About Bark & Go

Bark & Go (Bark and Go with Lilia Ltd, company number 17348729) provides professional solo dog walking in Didsbury and Chorlton, Manchester. Our registered office is Bartle House, 9 Oxford Court, Manchester, England, M2 3WQ. Each booking is for one dog receiving a dedicated solo walk: either 30 minutes (£20) or 60 minutes (£30).

2. Service area

We only accept bookings from postcodes within our Didsbury and Chorlton service areas. If you move outside these areas, please update your account or contact us before booking.

3. Booking & payment

Walks must be requested through barkandgo.uk before the walk takes place unless otherwise agreed in writing. Current prices are £20 for a solo 30-minute walk and £30 for a solo one-hour walk. When you request a walk, you choose a 2-hour time window (8am–10am, 10am–12pm, 12pm–2pm, or 2pm–4pm). We confirm your request and aim to collect during that window. Payment is collected by Direct Debit each Friday via GoCardless for walks completed in the previous week. By submitting a booking request you agree to these terms and confirm the details entered (dog, address, date, time window, and walk length) are correct.

3a. Direct Debit

All customers pay by Direct Debit. We collect payment every Friday for walks completed in the previous week, using GoCardless as our payment processor. To change or cancel your Direct Debit setup, email [email protected]. If a collection fails (for example, insufficient funds), we may pause future walks until it is resolved.

4. What is included

Each solo walk includes the booked walking time (30 or 60 minutes) during your chosen 2-hour window, travel to and from your address within our service area, a post-walk report with check-in and check-out times, and photos where taken. We carry water on walks and clean paws on return where practical.

5. Welcome visit & admission

All dogs are subject to a welcome visit at home before regular walking services begin. We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service for any dog where we consider it unsafe or unsuitable for our walks.

6. Your responsibilities

You must provide accurate dog intake information including health, vaccination status, emergency vet details, and property access instructions. By admitting your dog, you represent that they are in good health and have not harmed or shown aggression or threatening behaviour towards any person or other dog, unless you have disclosed this to us in writing (including on the intake form). You agree to notify us immediately of any unwelcome, aggressive, procreative, or dangerous behaviour that could cause harm to another dog or person. Your dog must be vaccinated and fit to walk. Bitches in season or known to be pregnant may not attend walks; where suitable we may offer a house visit instead, by agreement. You give permission for us to give occasional treats unless you tell us otherwise on the intake form or in writing. You must ensure we can access your property around the preferred collection time (keys, codes, or someone at home) or notify us in advance if arrangements change.

7. Off-lead walking

Unless you specify otherwise on the intake form or in writing, you permit Bark & Go to allow your dog off the lead where we judge it safe and appropriate (for example, where recall is reliable). If recall is uncertain we may use a long line. These terms continue to apply whether your dog is on or off the lead.

8. Cancellation, no-access & no-show

You can cancel a booking through your account before the walk. If you cancel at least 48 hours before the walk time window starts, we will not charge you for that walk. Cancellations with less than 48 hours' notice may be charged unless we agree otherwise. Email [email protected] if you need help. If we cannot access your property for a booked walk (for example, no keys, incorrect codes, or locked gates) and you have not arranged access, the booking is treated as a cancellation and remains payable in full. If your dog is not at home when we arrive for collection during your time window and you have not cancelled in time, the walk remains payable in full. We may cancel or reschedule due to severe weather, illness, or safety concerns. If we cancel your walk, you will not be charged.

9. Photos, walk reports & social media

We may take photos or short videos during walks for your walk report. Separately, when you tick the social media consent on your dog's intake form, you give permission for Bark & Go to use your dog's name, photos, and video on our website, Instagram, or other marketing channels. Media used for that purpose remains Bark & Go's material for marketing use. You may withdraw social media consent at any time by updating your dog's profile or contacting us. This does not affect photos already shared in walk reports sent to you.

10. Keys & property access

Where you provide keys, a spare key, or access codes, you do so willingly and at your own risk. We store access details securely and use them only for booked walks and genuine emergencies related to your dog's care. Please notify us immediately if codes or keys change. You agree to indemnify Bark & Go against liability arising from loss of or damage to property in connection with holding or using keys you have provided, except where caused by our negligence.

11. Veterinary care & costs

If your dog is injured or becomes ill while in our care, you authorise Bark & Go to seek veterinary advice and/or treatment as we deem necessary. Where possible we will use your usual or preferred vet named on your dog's profile, but this cannot be guaranteed (for example in an emergency), and we may use any registered vet at our discretion. You are responsible for the full cost of any such treatment, together with associated costs (for example call-out charges), and agree to pay those costs promptly when requested.

12. Belongings

Bark & Go is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged leads, collars, tags, clothing, or other items left with your dog, except where caused by our negligence.

13. Liability & indemnity

We take reasonable care of your dog at all times. However, dog walking carries inherent risks (other animals, traffic, uneven ground, and encounters with other dogs or people in public spaces). Our walks are solo one-to-one services; we do not run group pack walks. Even so, your dog may meet other dogs during a walk in parks or on public paths. Despite careful supervision, injuries can occur during normal dog interaction. You are solely responsible for any harm or damage caused by your dog while it is under our care, and you agree to indemnify Bark & Go in full against liability arising from such harm or damage to third parties, except where caused by our negligence. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to direct losses caused by our negligence, up to the amount paid for the affected booking unless a higher limit is required by law.
